THIS could have been the 2010 Olympics’ gold run from Danny Davis. This video is from the Grand Prix at Mammoth earlier this season. The kid scored a 49.20!!!! This run actually beat Shaun White’s score as well! Amazing!
Unfortunately for us, Danny was involved in a ATV accident, resulting in a L3 spinal fracture. After surgery for that, they went back in to repair a fracture on the left side of his pelvis. All of this ended his season.
4 more years to get back on the horse Danny!

Does anybody remember this? Lindsey Jacobellis, a rider for good ol’ USA, went down last year over one of the last jumps when she decided to throw a rather stylish Method while she had a commanding lead over her competitors. Unfortunately for her, this trick isn’t thrown typically in this type of competition because you don’t stay very aerodynamic or stable.
She tried to redeem herself this year in Vancouver, but to no avail. She took 5th in the Olympics, but she did take gold in Winter X this year!
