I was unable to make it personally to the ceremony this year while I was in Denver, but I heard all about it through the grape vine and Transworld Snowboarding!

In case you’re unaware of how the TWS Rider’s Poll works, TWS polls over 100 professional riders world wide to determine the winners of each category.  Must be mind blowing to know that your piers, and perhaps a hero or two of yours, thinks your the hot shit in today’s snowboarding arena!

It comes to no surprise to yours truly that John Jackson took top honors for the second year in a row for Men’s Video Part of the Year AND Men’s Rider of the Year for his double song part in this year’s Forum video, F’ it.  He was up against some tough competition: legendary Gigi Ruf, Dan Brisse, and rookie Mark Sollors.

I was surprised that TWS’ video, In Color, won video of the year.  I figured F’ it would another award for Forum to be honest.  Also surprised that Torstein Horgmo and his triple cork ender in The Storming lost the award for Standout of the Year to Mikey LeBlanc’s stairset bomb drop, the ender to Bon Voyage.  But Torstein got love from all the TWS readers and won the Men’s Reader’s Choice award.
